Course objectiveThis lecture defines the relationship between demographics and Paleodemography, Reconstruction of the demographic structure of ancient human populations.  
Learning outcomes
  1. By completing this course successfully, the students will be able to;
  2. Identify demography and demographical methods,
  3. Learn subfield of demography and their histories,
  4. Describe relationship between demography and paleodemography,
  5. Identify factors of affecting the population,
  6. Explain paleodemographic methods,
  7. Determine age and sex from skeletal material,
  8. Understand demographic differences during human evolution and explain ancient Anatolian population?s demographic structure.
Course ContentStudy field of demography and it's methods, sub-branches, and the history of demographical study, factors of affecting demography, paleodemographic methods, evolutionary demography, demography and disease, ancient Anatolia paleodemographic structure.
