Course objectiveThis course aims to scrutinize the difficulties encountered in foreign language teacher training programs in Turkey during input, process, and output stages. During the input stage, cognitive entry behaviors and affective entry behaviors of English language teachers in our country are discussed. During the process stage, the model in teacher training with special reference to foreign language teaching and the pre-service teaching Turkish programs are examined. Discussing the subject of teaching Turkish as foreign language during the making process. Lastly, during the output stage, the trend in teaching Turkish profession, practicum studies, and the in-service TOMER programs are discussed. 
Learning outcomes
  1. At the end of this course the students will be able to; Discuss the difficulties encountered during input, process, and output stages in Turkey in teaching Turkish as foreign language.
  2. Discuss the reasons for the spread of Turkish teacher as a foreign language in Turkey.
  3. Examine the current situation and foreign language and teaching Turkish problems in TOMER in Turkey.
  4. Become aware of the source of problems in foreign language and teaching Turkish.
  5. Discuss the importance of teaching foreign language and teaching Turkish as a foreign language during adaptation process to European Union.
  6. Examine foreign language and teaching Turkish in private schools.
Course ContentThe universities and National Education Ministry who take into consideration the demands about teaching Turkish as foreign language, the subjects are examined about the internalizing the modern approaches and methods for the teaching Turkish as foreign language and by teacher and lecturer who also take care the features of Turkish language. The students will be able to design a research project in his field of study approved about education of the research assistants and lecturer who will teach Turkish as foreign language.
