Course objective | This course aims to scrutinize the difficulties encountered in foreign language teacher training programs in Turkey during input, process, and output stages. During the input stage, cognitive entry behaviors and affective entry behaviors of English language teachers in our country are discussed. During the process stage, the model in teacher training with special reference to foreign language teaching and the pre-service teaching Turkish programs are examined. Discussing the subject of teaching Turkish as foreign language during the making process. Lastly, during the output stage, the trend in teaching Turkish profession, practicum studies, and the in-service TOMER programs are discussed. | |||||

Course Content | The universities and National Education Ministry who take into consideration the demands about teaching Turkish as foreign language, the subjects are examined about the internalizing the modern approaches and methods for the teaching Turkish as foreign language and by teacher and lecturer who also take care the features of Turkish language. The students will be able to design a research project in his field of study approved about education of the research assistants and lecturer who will teach Turkish as foreign language. | |||||
