Course objectiveTeaching basic statistics and biostatistics knowledge, to provide evaluating the studies from their own field about biostatistics. 
Learning outcomes
  1. Students who take this course; knows the basis statistics and biostatistics concepts,
  2. decides, applies and interprets the appropriate statistical methods,
  3. draws the proper table and graphics for the data,
  4. understands the statistical methods used in the literatüre for their own study fields,
  5. criticizes the statistical methods used in the literatüre for their own study fields.
Course ContentBasic statistical definitions, descriptive statistics of data set, theoretical distributions, sampling distributions, basic research designs, basic sampling methods, hypothesis tests, measures of association, regression analysis, definition and calculation of the risk measures, confidence intervals of the risk measures, statistical methods for rates.
