Course objectiveCourse objective The aim of this course is informing the students about the term of intercultural communication and different theoretical approaches on it. Besides , the theories in the study area will be considered in a critical manner. In order to enrich the study area the discussions will be extended towards multiculturalism and identity studies. 
Learning outcomes
  1. At the end of this course the students 1. will be able to know the theoritical discussions about this field, 2. will be able to interpret the intercultural communication situations and different examples of intercultural encounters within theoretical perspective, 3. will be able to achieve critical intercultural perspective that can guide their own fieldwork.
Course ContentThis course will convey theories that try to conceptualize and understand the
communication between different cultures. With this course, current empirical studies will
be searched and through these studies the validity of theorical approachs will be discussed.
In this course, which aims to broaden the field of theoretical resources, also the identity
and multiculturalism will be subjected and discussed within a critical perspective
