Course objectiveThe goal of this course is to inform the students about the main literature on Visual Culture Studies.  
Learning outcomes
  1. At the end of the course, the students;
  2. -will be clarified about the research domain of Visual Culture Studies by reading essays of primary theoreticians and writers on this area.
  3. -will gain acquaintance with the discussions about different regimes of `looking at?. They will be able to think on visual sources both in theoretical and practical basis.
  4. -will have the capacity to analyse a visual source and interrogate how and in which ways an image functions ideologically.
Course ContentIn the course, the student will be introduced with the theoritical basic literature on visual studies. During the course, also various visual sources will be viewed and interpreted in context of artistic, sociocultural and ideological interrogations.
