D.9. Key Learning Outcomes

1. Can analyze problems, events, facts in demography and population policies with an interdisciplinary approach holistically, predict policy impact, produce solutions, make decisions.

2. Follows and uses theoretical discussions in (inter)national demography, reflections in practice, current developments.

3. Has a grasp of theories, can create frameworks, design research with theory and literature, conduct qualitative and quantitative research, analyze data, present findings.

4. Has professional/social responsibility, can produce and publish scientific information abiding by ethics.

5. Publishes at least one article in journals scanned by international indices.

6. Having high skills in Turkish/English, written/verbal, can take an active role in (inter)national cooperation.

7. Conducts studies to expand knowledge using software/information technologies, communicates with colleagues to fulfill the tasks, reviews literature in libraries/archives using resources in information society and printed ones, conducts activities in (inter)national projects at various levels, presents results written/orally.

8. Has competence to continue their research in country and abroad after PhD, to perform their profession in related fields; can give lectures, manage thesis at (under)graduate levels.

9. Has a high awareness of sharing with mutual respect, tolerance, understanding, and empathy between social segments/cultures.
