1. Has knowledge on the presence of the close relationship between oral biology and the basic health science disciplines; integrates and applies them in varying degrees to the study of oral and orally related problems and develops treatment approaches.

2. Conducts research aimed at increasing the knowledge and improving the use of oral biology concepts and techniques in dentistry and other areas of health science; by using technological devices and instruments at an advanced level.

3. Has comprehensive knowledge in designing and implementing experimental approaches to answer specific questions in oral biology or in related biomedical sciences.

4. Easily accesses to recent knowledge in oral biology and by analyzing and synthesizing these knowledge, develops unique opinions.

5. Plans, conducts, analyzes, statistically evaluates and reports scientific research studies in oral biology area.

6. Critically evaluates the national and international scientific literature in a evidence-based approach, and becomes proficient in communicating analyses of scientific studies in written form.

7. Presents his/her opinions on theoretic and practical topics in a scientific environment, discuss and defend them with specialists.

8. Has knowledge on ethical principles with respect to all kinds of scientific and professional work in the area of oral biology, and acts accordingly.
