1. Student has a high degree of knowledge on basic sciences, engineering sciences and mathematics and implements this knowledge at the highest level.

2. Student accesses the information he/she needs and has the capability and method in using the information to do the research.

3. Student conducts comprehensive studies by applying a known method to a new field and develops a new method, technological product or process that bring novelty to science and technology.

4. Student has multifaceted knowledge on earth science, the current developments.

5. Student evaluates ideas and developments in the field of Earth science and does critical analysis and synthesis.

6. Student uses a foreign language at least at the level of the European Language Portfolio Level C1 for effective verbal, written and visual communication in his/her field of expertise.

7. Student contributes to science and technology by publishing the results of his/her research in reputable national and international media.

8. Student respects the rules of social and scientific ethics at all stages of his/her research; follows the scientific, technological, social and cultural developments, and share them with the community with neutrality and ethical sense of responsibility.
