D.1. General Information about Program

Lessons of cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation started to be given since 1973 within the context of Master of Science programme which starts education and training in 1967-68  in Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at the Institute of Health Sciences. With developments and advancements, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation graduate education programme started to give education and training as a new programs of Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at the Institute of Health Sciences in 1996-97. Physiotherapists who could implement and advance clinical and academical studies in areas special to cardiopulmonary rehabilitation at the specialty level were brought up in this programme. Alumnies of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation Master of Science programme are skillful in building up and leading the society, encouraging participation to physical activity, increasing quality of life with treating functions in light of measurements special to cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. Alumnies of Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation graduate education, graduates as taking Master of Science degree in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.

 To have an undergraduate degree diploma in area of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation

ALES: 60, GRE: 650, GMAT: 475, ÃœDS-KPDS: B2, European Language Portfolio: C1

D.5. Qualification Requirements and Regulations

 

To complete the programme which is at least 2 years and contains 120 ECTS credits successfully or to receive equivalent education abroad for graduating from Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation graduate programme with thesis. 

D.6. Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

Undergraduate education in physiotherapy and rehabilitation or international equivalent educations are authoritative.

To educate Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Master of Science who have attained universal level in terms of education and investigation in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, have characters of universal scientist, is informed, enlightened, and competent at national and international criterion.

D.14. Profile of the Programme

Master program of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation consists of totally 120 ECTS including compulsory and elective courses, and special subject. The students can take courses from different programs that appropriates for cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program in addition to their program.

D.16. Graduation Requirements

In order to get a master's degree in the field of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, it is necessary to successfully complete at least 60 ECTS courses that meet the program requirements and successfully defend their thesis.
