D.1. General Information about Program

Financial Management Master Program is a non-thesis, evening program which is carried out under the Hacettepe University Social Sciences Institute – Business Administration Department. The graduates of this program cannot proceed to any PhD program. Program language is Turkish.

D.4. Provisions for Registration

1. Those having a university diploma in any field can apply for the program.

2. There is no minimum grade-point average (GPA) requirement.

3. There is no requirement for an ALES or Foreign Language Exam certificate. However, if the applicant submits a certificate, the following weighting schema will be used in evaluation (for those not submitting a certificate for ALES or Foreign Language, the score is considered to be zero).

Evaluation Criteria:

ALES Score: 20%            Foreign Language Score: 10%

GPA: 30%                          Interview: 40%

4. International students' applications are accepted in line within ?Hacettepe University Graduate Programme and Exam Regulation" in Official Gazette (29 November 2016, No:29900).

5. The provisions which are not covered above will be implemented in accordance with the relevant provisions of Hacettepe University's Regulations on Graduate Education and Examination.

D.5. Qualification Requirements and Regulations

Students who are enrolled in the master program must complete 36 ECTS credits must courses (including Term Project) and 54 ECTS credits elective courses.

D.6. Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

The courses taken at another university either in Turkey or abroad can be accepted as equivalent through the approval of the teaching staff lecturing similar courses, within the framework of relevant articles in Hacettepe University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations.

Academic recognition of the courses taken in another higher education institution as part of an exchange program is made within the framework of relevant articles in Hacettepe University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations.

D.7. Goals and Objectives

The purpose of the Non-thesis Master's Programme in Financial Management is to train professionals and students to work in Turkey and the world's leading businesses and is to provide equivalent level of expertise with the world's leading graduate programs. Another purpose of the programme is to obtain comprehensive training for leaders and managers in leading organizations of rapidly changing business world.

One of the most important goals of the program is to provide information about analytical thinking, decision making in difficult conditions, superior management skills, and strategic, managerial and sectoral developments.

D.12. Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples

Graduates of the program gaining effective communication skills, a sense of social responsibility, flexible and innovative characteristics. They take their places as potential managers in public or private companies' departments of finance, banking and consultancy.

D.15. Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Evaluation and assesment methods for each course are defined in course teaching plan in information package prepared by the lecturers. Hacettepe University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations will be applied in related with the course notes and exams.

D.16. Graduation Requirements

Students who are enrolled in the master program must complete 90 ECTS credits courses (36 ECTS must courses including Term Project under the supervision of a faculty member and 54 ECTS elective courses).

Also they have to get a CGPA of 2.5/4.00 and submit their thesis in order to graduate.
