Master program of pediatric oncology offers a unique opportunity for students preparing for careers in pediatric oncology. A primary goal of the program is to encourage students to pursue a career in cancer research. Program provides a training experience in clinical research in one of the largest clinics in country. Attendee also have the opportunity of doing laboratory research.
Master program of pediatric oncology is a full-time education program for two years. During the first two semesters of the program, along with didactic courses, attendee joins the patient care in outpatient and inpatient clinics of pediatric oncology department. During the education program, attendee learns the harmony in working mechanisms of different clinics.
During the third and fourth semesters of the program, along with clinical practices, student continues academic studies with master thesis supervised by one of the faculty members.

To meet the application requirements of Hacettepe University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations and Institute of Health Sciences.
Trainees must complete 21 national credits and their MS thesis must be accepted as successful by their thesis committee in order to be qualified for MS degree in pediatric oncology. The requirements and rules which indicated in sections with of graduate education and examination of Hacettepe University are put into practice.Â
Applicants must be medical doctor and have degree in pediatrics.
The graduates are able to work as specialist of pediatric hematology and oncology.

The MS program of pediatric oncology is a 2-year program. The first year is dedicated to a through clinical training. Working closely with attending physicians, fellows gain inpatient and outpatient experiences in solid tumors in the supervision of a faculty member. Trainee also has mandatory or selected programs in basic oncology and statistics departments. The second year of the fellowship is oriented to gaining basic research skills through either clinical or laboratory based research and prepare his/her thesis.

Graduation from MS program of pediatric oncology requires to complete at least 21 national credits (60 ECTS) and to have at least GPA of 2.50.
