D.1. General Information about Program

Graduates who have completed this program can use their deepened and developed competencies at the level of expertise in clinical and academic studies at the various specialized areas of physiotherapy and rehabilitation and carry out advanced professional practice and research. Master's degree graduates of Orthopaedic Physiotherapy, graduates acquire the degree of “master of science”.

D.4. Provisions for Registration

To have an undergraduate degree diploma in area of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and to fulfill the application procedures of Hacettepe University, Institute of Health Sciences postgraduate programme.

D.5. Qualification Requirements and Regulations

To complete the program which is at least 2 years and contains 120 ECTS credits successfully or to receive equivalent education abroad for graduating from Orthopaedic Physiotherapy postgraduate program with thesis.

Undergraduate education in physiotherapy and rehabilitation or international equivalent educations are authoritative.

D.7. Goals and Objectives

To educate specialist physiotherapists at national and international level who follow the scientific and technological developments in the field of orthopaedic physiotherapy, who have gained advanced and deep knowledge, skill and attitude in their education, research and practice, who can integrate their knowledge with clinical and scientific studies, who can interpret the results, who can continue life-long learning, who can contribute to educational programs related to orthopaedic physiotherapy area as an specialist in orthopaedic physiotherapy.

Alumnies who completes this programme could implement an investigation special to Orthopaedic Physiotherapy area independently, comment with a broader and deeper perspective of scientific events and determine the necessary steps to achieve for accessing new methods and applications. Orthopaedic Physiotherapy master of science graduates are people who can develop programs that create and implement competent and effective programs by determining the need for the subject related to protective purposes in healthy individuals and can develop public health.

Orthopaedic Physiotherapy programme contains 120 ECTS with compulsory, elective courses and thesis study. Students can take courses related to their area from different programmes.
