D.1. General Information about Program

The main goal of health economics and pharmacoeconomy/distance non-thesis master programme is to educate and train health economics and pharmacoeconomy science specialists who can evaluate economic and humanistic aspects of pharmaceutical products, services, and programs by using health economics evaluation methods and quantitative decision making techniques effectively. The language of instruction is Turkish.

D.4. Provisions for Registration

1. Those having a university diploma in any field can apply for the program. 2. There is no minimum grade-point average (GPA) requirement.

3. There is no requirement for an ALES or Foreign Language Exam certificate. However, if the applicant submits a certificate, the following weighting schema will be used in evaluation (for those not submitting a certificate for ALES or Foreign Language, the score is considered to be zero).

Evaluation Criteria:

ALES Score: 10%

Foreign Language Score: 10%

GPA: 30%

Interview: 50%

4. International students' applications are accepted in line within “Hacettepe University Graduate Programme and Exam Regulation" in Official Gazette (29 November 2016, No:29900).

5. The provisions which are not covered, will be implemented in accordance with the relevant provisions of Hacettepe University's Regulations on Graduate Education and Examination.

D.7. Goals and Objectives

To educate health economics and pharmacoeconomy experts who are open to new developments in this area, able to communicate with other health care workers, able to work independently, able to work others in a coordinated manner, have job responsibility, open minded, intellectual, and reliant on ethical issues by providing universal and updated health economics and pharmacoeconomy education.

D.12. Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples

Students who are graduated from health economics and pharmacoeconomy distance non-thesis master programme can work different kinds of organizations and institutions as a manager, planner, decision maker and pharmacoeconomist. Students can take active managerial roles not only organization and institutions in health care system but also Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Labour and Social Security, Ministry of Development and Turkish Statistical Institute.

Programme have 5 required, 11 elective courses.
