D.1. General Information about Program

Fundamentals of the Audiology have been taken depending on the master program in Institute of Health Sciences at Hacettepe University in 2016-2017. Graduates who have completed this program; knows the evaluation and follow-up processes in the fields of pediatric audiology, auditory perception, auditory rehabilitation, vestibular, auditory implant applications, amplification applications, electrophysiology. Selects and applies the appropriate formal and informal evaluation methods to evaluate these areas.

Graduates from our programme, they can gain the knowledge and skills to know the necessary diagnosis and follow-up processes in the field of hearing and balance disorders, to determine vestibular rehabilitation programs, to evaluate the speech-language, auditory perception and communication skills of children and adults with hearing loss, and to determine and apply the appropriate rehabilitation program. All graduates can take their professional role in health system and also they can go on developing their academic skills. After graduation, they can get the “Master ” degree.

D.4. Provisions for Registration

To register to Audiology Master programme, candidates should ha Audiology bachelor degree.

D.5. Qualification Requirements and Regulations

To finish Audiology Master Programme, all students have to complete 120 ECTS successfully.

D.6. Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

Bachelor degree from Audiology programme or equivalent degree in international progammes.

D.7. Goals and Objectives

To determinate, prevent and treat movement and functional disorders, and to gain enough rehabilitative audiology knowledge, ability and skills to increase the health related quality of life; to oversee public goodness; to bring up graduates who have ability to research, investigate and lifelong learning skills with evidence based practices. All graduates take a career role as a health professional life and work academically after graduation according to their expectancy.

D.12. Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples

Our graduation students could be work as an educational audiologist in hospitals, companies, ENT centers, education centers etc. Also after graduation in higher studies, they could work as in research position in universities.

D.14. Profile of the Programme

This program consists of at least seven courses, a seminar course and a thesis study provided that they are not below the minimum credit requirements for graduate programs set by the Graduate Education and Training Regulations of Council of Higher Education and Hacettepe University, and is designed to enable graduate students to acquire the ability to access, compile, interpret and evaluate information by using scientific research methods.

D.16. Graduation Requirements

In order to graduate from the program, the student has to obtain all the required local and ECTS credits, complete the credited lectures and seminar course, meet the general average grade requirements, and successfully complete the thesis defense as stated in the Hacettepe University Graduate Education and Training Regulations. To finalize the graduation procedures, the student additionally needs to submit the necessary information and documents to the Institute of Health Sciences specified by the Hacettepe University Graduate Education and Training Regulations.
