D.1. General Information about Program

Department of Public Health Nursing Graduate Program was started in 1998. 

The program language is Turkish. 

As stated is Section 5, Article 29 of Hacettepe University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations, the maximum duration of the program is four semesters starting from the semester in which the courses are given regardless of whether or not registration is made for each semester, and the program is completed in a maximum of six semesters. 

There is no internship practice within the scope of the program. 

Upon succesful completion of 120 ECTS credits and a master's thesis, the student graduates from the program a science specialist. ALES (SAY/EA) score type and ALES and Foreing Language base score determined by the Health Sciences Grauduate School Board and approved by the Hacettepe University Senete are required.

D.5. Qualification Requirements and Regulations

The graduate study program consists of compulsory and elective courses. The total ECTS credits of the program are 120. A student in a master's program with thesis has to write the results of his thesis in accordance with the thesis writing rules of the relevant institute and defend his thesis verbally in front of the jury. After the completion of the thesis exam, the jury decides on the thesis by absolute majority, acceptance, rejection or correction. The student who has been given a correction decision about his thesis completes the corrections within three months at the latest and defends his thesis again in front of the same jury.

D.6. Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

Nursing baccalaurate degree graduates are accepted. Students who has begun another internal public health nursing master program are accepted after they meet minimum requirements of this programme by completing their missing courses.

D.7. Goals and Objectives

The goal of this program is to train the Community Health nursing specialist who has the universal scientific person qualities in the field of community health nursing education and research.

D.12. Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples

We applied to two graduate students' opinions on the training in order to determine the scope of work were reported. Students expressed that they were very pleased with their education during the training, especially easy access to information, have the ability to problem-solving and analysis-synthesis, demonstrating ethical behavior, leadership skills they gained ownership properties. As a student at Hacettepe University
the characteristic that distinguishes students from other schools have as well as at the international level, the national health issues, ability to analyze and synthesize increased autonomy.

D.14. Profile of the Programme

The program   of compulsory  courses to elective courses is  %50. 

 If it is necessary or if student requests, student can take more  courses (credit) than minumum credit in both programs. Still,  if it is necessary or if student requests, student can choose (5%)  courses from  different  faculties / departments of our university, in this way, the courses that taken can be used to complete the minumum credit. For graduation;  in Master degree  minimum of 120 ECTS must be completed.

In program, student can take the minimum credit that is required to take, by extending over the first 2 semesters  at will. In this program, the student  starts the thesis from the 3. Semester.

All of the courses in the Master degree and Doctoral programs are semester (seasonal) courses.
