D.1. General Information about Program

Marketing Master Program is a graduate program with thesis which is carried out under the Hacettepe University Social Sciences Institute – Business Administration Department. Program language is Turkish. The courses, midterms, finals, presentations, reports and theses are carried out in Turkish. However, sources in English are also utilized during the lectures. Graduates of this program can proceed to the PhD programs.

D.4. Provisions for Registration

1. Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Business Administration, Sociology, Psychology, Industrial Eng. and Statistic as well as graduates from four-year departments such as community and behavioral sciences are accepted.

2. Applicants are required to score at least 70 standard points from either one of the quantitative or verbal or equal weight categories of the Academic Staff and Graduate Education Examination (Akademik Personel ve Lisans├╝st├╝ E─čitimine Giri┼č S─▒nav─▒, ALES) organized by Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (├ľl├žme, Se├žme ve Yerle┼čtirme Merkezi, ├ľSYM). Alternatively, applicants are required to submit an equivalent score, determined by the Hacettepe University Senate, in the internationally recognized GRE and GMAT examinations.

3. Applicants are required to score at least 70 in the Foreign Knowledge in Foreign Language Placement Examination (Yabanc─▒ Dil Seviye Tespit S─▒nav─▒, YDS). Alternatively, applicants are required to submit an equivalent score from other foreign language examinations, held at the national or international level, whose equivalence is approved by ├ľSYM.

4. International students' applications are accepted in line within “Hacettepe University Graduate Programme and Exam Regulation" in Official Gazette (29 November 2016, No:29900).

5. The students who are admitted to the program might be required to take relevant course/s from the Communication Sciences Graduate Scientific Preparation Programme, in case deemed to be a necessary by the jury of the oral exam.

6. Those conditions, which are not included below, are applied in accordance with the related provisions of the Hacettepe University Graduate Education, Instruction and Examination Regulations (Hacettepe ├ťniversitesi Lisans├╝st E─čitim, ├ľ─čretim ve S─▒nav Y├Ânetmeli─či).

D.5. Qualification Requirements and Regulations

Students who are enrolled in the master program must complete at least 60 ECTS credits within two semester and then should prepare the master's thesis under the supervision of consultant.

D.6. Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

The courses taken at another university either in Turkey or abroad can be accepted as equivalent through the approval of the teaching staff lecturing similar courses, within the framework of relevant articles in Hacettepe University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations.

Academic recognition of the courses taken in another higher education institution as part of an exchange program is made within the framework of relevant articles in Hacettepe University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations.

Our graduates are have characteristics of effective communication skills, a sense of social responsibility and flexible to innovation. Graduates of the department are prepared to take their place as potential managers in marketing departments and as potential marketing scholars.

Evaluation and assesment methods for each course are defined in course teaching plan in information package prepared by the lecturers. Hacettepe University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations will be applied in related with the course notes and exams.

D.16. Graduation Requirements

Students who are enrolled in the master program must complete 60 ECTS credits and then should prepare the master's thesis under the supervision of consultant.

Also they have to get a CGPA of 2.5/4.00 and submit their thesis in order to graduate.
