D.1. General Information about Program

Fundamentals of the Audiology have been taken depending on the master program in Institute of Healt Sciences at Hacettepe University in 2016-2017.

Graduates from our programme, they can conduct audiology, plan audiological programmes. All graduates can take their professional role in health system and also they can go on developing their academic skills. After graduation, they can get the “Doctorate” degree.

D.4. Provisions for Registration

To register to Audiology doctorate programme, candidates should have Bachelor Degree from Audiology and Master Degree from Audiology Programme.

ALES: 60, GRE: 650, GMAT: 475, YDS-YOKDİL: B2, Avrupa Dil Portföyü: B2

D.5. Qualification Requirements and Regulations

To finish Audiology Doctorate Programme, all students have to complete 240 ECTS (8 semester) successfully.

H.Ü. Lisans üstü Eğitim-Öğretim ve Sınav Yönetmeliğinde Doktora yeterlik programı için Madde 33 ve Madde 34 de öngörülen koşulları yerine getirmiş olmak.

D.6. Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

Graduate from Audiology Master Programme or Bachelor degree from equivalent programme in international programmes.

D.7. Goals and Objectives

To determinate, prevent and treat movement and functional disorders, and to gain audiology knowledge, ability and skills to increase the health related quality of life; to oversee public goodness; to bring up graduates who have ability to research, investigate and lifelong learning skills with evidence based practices. All graduates take a career role as a health professional life and work academically after graduation according to their expectancy.

D.12. Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples

Our graduation students could be work in hospitals, companies, ENT centers, education centers etc. Also after graduation in higher studies, they could work as in research position in universities.

D.14. Profile of the Programme

This doctorate program consists of 8 semesters. Program consists of at least 240 ECTS; at least 30 course ECTS credits in the each of the first 4 semesters and total 120 ECTS credits in the last 4 thesis semesters.

Students have to complete the must courses in the first two years (four semesters). The required credit is provided by elective courses. Students may also take courses from other programs not included in the Audiology Programs in order to contribute to their areas of interest and thesis studies. A student who has completed at least 120 ECTS credits, can also take extra elective courses in accordance with the approval of his/her advisor.

D.16. Graduation Requirements

In order to graduate, a student, who successfully completes all the requirements of the PhD program, must fulfill the relevant articles of the H.U. Graduate Education and Examination Regulations (Government newspaper numbered 29900 and dated November 26th, 2016)

Doctorate program consists of courses, proficiency exam, thesis proposal, thesis study and thesis. The relevant rules determined by Hacettepe University Graduate Education Regulation are applied for each stage of the program.
