D.1. General Information about Program

Foundation purpose of Pharmaceutical Technology Doctorate Program is, to educate pharmacists who are experts on medicines, primarily on lectures of pharmaceutical technology and other disciplines in doctorate degree, therefore the graduates would serve in industry, public associations and universities.

a)      To have a licence degree defined by the related department head and approved by institute 

b)      To have a standart ALES score defined by the senate or score in an exam that its equivalancy to ALES is accepted by the senate.

(4) The students accepted to the doctorate program with their master of science degree and with their licence degree must complete a credit burden of at least 21 and 45 respectively; the students accepted basing on the European Credit Transfer system must complete lecture burdens of 120 credits and thesis study of 120 credits if admitted with master of science degree; lecture burden of 180 credits and thesis study of 120 credits if admitted with licence degree. Moreover candidates should be successful in the thesis defense. D.7. Goals and Objectives

This programme enables its graduates to have sufficient knowledge and skills to relay, plan and conduct research projects individually or in a team. Students who have successfully completed this programme can keep track of the latest innovations in their area and technology, having internalizing them, use these knowledge in their area of study or in the good of country. Graduates would have the adequate background to communicate with their colleagues in a solution to ethical problems. Graduates can efficiently use literature data, develop unique projects, determine the methods, find scientific partners and do their research. They have the ability to determine, development and application skills for any problem that might occur. They can independently evaluate a research projects from all aspects and come up with alternative solutions. Upon the completion of this education, graduates would have the skills to plan and execute projects individually. Moreover If they would like to work in drug industry, they would have the knowledge and skills for original or generic drug design, process validation, bioavailability – bioequivalance evaluation and quality control – quality assurance.

Programme consists of, mandatory lectures of 39 ECTS, selective lectures of 51 ECTS, preparation for doctorate proficiency of 30 ECTS and a doctorate thesis of 120 ECTS. Selective lectures can be taken from the programs of Institute of Health Sciences and Institute of Science.

D.16. Graduation Requirements

  In order to graduate from doctorate programme the students must complete lecture credits of at least 240 ECT, must be successful in doctorate proficiency exam, must be successful in doctorate thesis defense.
