Having graduated from Child Health and Disease Nursing Master's Program.

D.5. Qualification Requirements and Regulations

The program provided a total of not less than 21 credit hours to be required and elective courses and thesis work. Determining the success of the student's courses and a thesis, Hacettepe University, Graduate Education and Examination Regulations apply.

 

D.6. Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

Hacettepe University's Graduate Education and Examination Regulations "Transfer Admission" is done according to the principles.

D.7. Goals and Objectives

The aim of this program is to educate a nurse who can think critically on the field of education, investigation and practice in pediatric nursing, who an assist in the development of nursing as an academic and practice discipline, who can bring new approaches to problem solving, who can think independently and can investigate, who can put the investigation results into practice, who can use nursing on the evidence basis, who uses holistic approach in patient care and who is dedicated to ethic values.

D.12. Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples

All of our graduates state that they can communicate effectively, can have self- confidence, can reach the information easily, earn the ability to problem solving and analysis- synthesis, may decide rapidly, more prone to teamwork, can produce strategic solutions, have leadership qualities, have ethical behavior and they state that they are more sensible about general health problems. 60% of our graduates state that the education which they had, met their expectations about education and 40% state that it met their expectations quite good.

D.14. Profile of the Programme

  If it is necessary or if student requests, student can take more courses (credit) than minumum credit in both programs.  Still, if it is necessary or if student requests, student can choose (5%) courses from different faculties / departments of our university, in this way, the courses that taken can be used to complete the minumum credit. For graduation in Doctoral program minimum of 240 ECTS must be completed.

In Doctoral program, student can take the minimum credit that is required to take, by extending over the first 3 semesters at will. In this program, if the student passes competency exam, he/she starts the thesis from the 5. Semester.

All of the courses in the Master degree and Doctoral programs are semester (seasonal) courses.

1 ECTS is equal to 30 hours workload.

D.15. Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

 The measurement and evaluation methods applied for each course are defined in the "Course Teaching Plan" prepared by the relevant faculty members and included in the information package. Regarding the exams and course grades, H.Ü. Relevant articles of Associate Degree, Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations are applied.

D.16. Graduation Requirements

The education period of the Doctorate Program is eight semesters. Program; It consists of compulsory and elective courses and a qualifying exam, thesis proposal, thesis presentation and thesis defense. In order for the student to be successful in the relevant course, the grade received from the courses must be at least 75 out of 100. In addition, the advisor and the relevant institute can be selected from the courses offered in other higher education institutions with the recommendation of the head of the department and the approval of the Institute Board of Directors. Students who successfully complete their courses are taken to the proficiency exam. If he is successful in this exam, he presents his thesis proposal before the jury. The student verbally presents the progress and results of his thesis to the thesis monitoring committee for six months. The student has to write the results obtained regarding the thesis in accordance with the thesis writing rules of the relevant institute and defend the thesis verbally in front of the jury. After the completion of the thesis exam, the jury decides on the thesis by absolute majority, acceptance, rejection or correction. The student whose thesis is decided to be corrected defends his thesis again in front of the same jury within three months at the latest.
