1983/84 academic year, the Department of Ceramics Department started education, proficiency in art programs at the graduate level and has graduate. The overall objective of the graduate program, students are trained in more depth about the are as they are able to work effectively in the face of certain problems and the development of skills and awareness, as well as to gain the ability to evaluate contemporary art and thought.

In order to graduate from the Program, students should achieve 24 local credits and 120 ECTS credits beside defending a Thesis which explains his/her Art Work.

Earlier in domestic or overse as students who have studied a higher education institution, department came with the transfer procedures shall be applied in accordance with the relevant article of the Regulation on Undergraduate Education.

D.14. Profile of the Programme

1. Courses: The program consists of 24 local credits and 120 ECTS credits. Students have to complete %60 of these credits from applied courses.

2. Graduation work: Students can start their graduation works with the approval of advisors, after completing at least 24 local credits; in addition to that, they can take theoretical and applied non-credit courses.
3. Students have to submit proposals which define the purpose, motivations, method, and expectations of the graduation work firstly to the advisor, and secondly to the head of the department. Students whose proposals are approved can start working.
4. Graduation work is an original work produced by students. Students completing the graduation work submit the produced artwork together with a copy of the supporting research report (Graduate Artwork Report/Thesis), which is in accordance with the Hacettepe University Graduate School of Fine Arts Graduate Thesis and Report Writing Instructions, to the members of the jury, and defend the completed work orally at a determined date.
5. Students successfully completing the term project course go through an oral exam conducted by the members of the jury at a determined date. Students whose works are found successful submit a copy of the written project to the related department, in order for the copy to be sent to the Graduate School of Fine Arts.

D.15. Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Measurement and evaluation methods applied to the lessons included in the package information "Course Teaching Plan" is defined. Exams and achievement scores in relation to the relevant articles of Hacettepe University Institute of Fine Arts Master of Regulation applies.
