Nanotechnology and Nanomedicine Department Doctorate Program has been continuing education in Hacettepe University, Institute of Graduate Studies in Science since 2007-2008 Fall Term. Today, nanotechnology and nanomedicine are among the hottest scientific areas. Nanotechnology and Nanomedicine Department is an interdisciplinary graduate program supported from 5 different faculties including Faculty of Science Faculty of Engineering , Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry and Faculty of Pharmacy at Hacettepe University. Students can take their courses according to their research interest and prepare their thesis in the supervision of a faculty member who has expertise in the field.
The aim is to train graduates who are aware of the novel and emerging applications of Bioengineering, able to access and evaluate information through scientific research, can design experimental-based research and envision systems that can produce innovative solutions, can present the results of their thesis study in a systematic manner in national and international environments, and are capable of transmitting the results to the benefit of the society, are capable of leading multi-disciplinary teams and concerned about ethical values in all professional, social and scientific activities.
Alumni are equipped with the skills in multidisciplinary areas such as biology, chemistry, physics, electronics and medicine and may actively work as product and production management, research and development, process design and optimization, factory organization and management, quality assurance, safety and environmental quality, technical sales, service and marketing, management, occupational safety, quality, expertise and business security consulting services. The graduates work as well at the universities as academicians.
