We organize our zoology program into eight themes: cell biology, histology, developmental biology, entomology, ornithology, systematic zoology, toxicology and ecotoxicology. Different researches are carried out in different cell line and model organisms such as mouse, rat and chick within the areas of cell biology, histology, developmental biology. We have well-equipped laboratories for these researches. Studies into the theme of ecotoxicology have been carried out on different animal groups (fish, amphibians, and birds). Systematic studies are mostly concentrated on different insect groups (e.g. Orthoptera, Odonata, Coleoptera, and Hymenoptera). We have been also conducting researches on birds and mammals, which is about themes of systematic and phylogenetic perspective and studies on biology and regeneration on amphibians. Studies on relationships between the parasite insects and its host plant are also among research topics in the zoology section.
