D.1. General Information about Program

Registration of Medicinal Product (Non-Thesis) Master Program has been continuing its studies in Hacettepe University, Institute of Health Sciences since 2007. When considered the intense data pollution on medicines and related products through media and internet, it becomes almost obligatory to have basic knowledge on this area. Being realized the fact; this program may supply enough scientific background for whom deals with medicine and related products in preparing a dossier to license or investigating applied dossiers. Pharmacists who want to increase their professional competency in licensing medicines or related products may also apply this program. When the content of the program is investigated, the subjects are given by lecturers from 8 different disciplines who are experienced in licensing.

Being a graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy or being deemed appropriate by the Academic Board of the Department of other faculty graduates.

D.5. Qualification Requirements and Regulations

The program consists of a total of 30 local credits, 10 courses (60 ECTS credits) with compulsory and elective courses (including project). Totally the program consists of 60 ECTS credits, 1 ECTS is equivalent to 30 hours of workload.

If the student has transfer credits from the other courses, he again must take at least half of the total credits required by the program. If the supervisor thinks that it is appropriate and necessary, the lessons from other programs can also be selected.

Upon completing the project, it should be prepared according to the Institute of Health Sciences Thesis Preparation Guide. Students? academic achievement status and results of the evaluation of the project are evaluated according to Hacettepe University Graduate Education and Exam Regulation.

D.6. Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

A student who is currently enrolled in a Master's Degree program in related discipline at another institution and has successfully completed at least one semester, upon submitting all required documents before the deadline, he/she may transfer to the Master?s Degree Program to Hacettepe University. For the acceptance of applications, there must be master student quotas in relevant department, and the student must provide all admission requirements must be enrolled in the post-graduate program courses at least one semester and must receive a65 (C1) note at least..

Admissions of the undergraduate transfer students by  the board of the department are be finalized by the board of directors.(Hacettepe University Master Education and Examination Regulations;

The graduates of the program may have satisfactory background in preparing or investigating dossiers about medicines and/or related products as well as having basic knowledge in pharmacoeconomy, safe and rational medicine usage, radiopharmaceuticals, human and biological medicines as a result of theoretical and practical education.

The graduates can work at the departments of regulatory affairs especially in drug and cosmetic industry and Turkish Medicine and Medical Device Agency.

D.14. Profile of the Programme

All courses are provided in both autumn and spring semesters. Requisite courses constitute 55% of the program (50 ECTS) (including project courses), while elective courses constitute the remaining 45% (40 ECTS). All requisite and elective courses are listed in Course Structure Diagram. If necessary, students can take these courses in a different semester providing the requirements of total credit.

D.15. Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Evaluation and assessment methods for each course are defined by the information packages for each course in the program. In order to be successful in a graduate course, the student must receive at least C1 (65). H.U. Graduate Education and Examination Regulations are applied for achievement scores for exams and courses.

As described in the part of  ?Qualification Requirements and Regulations?, the program consists of a total of 60 ECTS credits (10 courses) with the prerequisite of requisite and elective courses and 30 ECTS credits with the project courses. In total, the program consists of 60 ECTS credits. In order to get a Masters degree, the student must be successful in the exams of all lessons.
