Course objectiveThe main aim of this course is to learn basic statistical concepts, to use basic statistical calculations on training data
Learning outcomes
  1. Defines basic concepts about statistics.
  2. Prepare a frequency chart to make the data meaningful.
  3. Prepare graphs of different types to make the data meaningful.
  4. Calculates central tendency measures.
  5. Calculates change measures.
  6. Evaluates the properties of distributions with the help of central tendency and change measures.
  7. Defines standard normal distribution.
  8. Converts different scores into standard scores to compare each other. Select the type of correlation that is appropriate for different data types and levels. Calculates the correlation coefficient appropriate to different data types and levels. Computes a simple linear regression analysis that provides an alternate predictor of the other.
Course ContentCritical criticism in terms of analysis of research using inferential statistics, the relationship between quantitative research and statistics, basic statistical concepts, numerical data clearing methods, descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, parametric tests, nonparametric tests, frequent mistakes in statistical analysis
