Course objectiveThe aim of this course is to teach social network analysis methods using modern computer software in research in the area of Turkish Studies. 
Learning outcomes
  1. Describe the social network concepts,
  2. Recognize the data sources for social networks
  3. Use the software for the analysis of social groups or networks,
  4. Evaluate the importance of modern computer software for Turkish Studies, and
  5. Explain the formation of individual and cultural identities by using social network concepts.
Course ContentImportance of modern computer software for Turkish studies; application of social network analysis concepts to Turkish Studies. Data sources for social network analysis. Preparing and entering data from the sources into social network analysis software. Interpreting and writing of the results of the analysis.
