Course objectiveThe aim of this course is to show ecologyand its effect on settlements in the light of archaeological data and to evaluate its reflection to the cultural history; climate and vegetation factors on the settlement development  
Learning outcomes
  1. At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to;
  2. Define the settlement plan and settlement hierarchy under the light of evidence maintained from archaeological investigations (excavation and researches)
  3. Compare the evidence about the ecology of the period with the settlement plan/model,
  4. Define the geographical, environmental as well as climatic impacts on settlement plan.
  5. Question the possible applications of distinctive settlement models to the available data
  6. Synthesis the evidence considered during the study and constitute hypothetical models.
