Course objectiveTo provide the student with the skill to compare a specific artwork with others from the same period and from different disciplines, by examining art movements and artworks of the civilizations from prehistory until today; and to use this ability in relation to the future Phd thesis topic. 
Learning outcomes
  1. By the end of the course, student 1.examines the art of civilizations from different geographies.
  2. 2.examines the works of fundamental art movements, and their style characteristics.
  3. 3.determines, at the end of the examination, the topics that he/she is interested in
  4. 4.acquires the skill to compare selected topics and examples with others from different disciplines, and to evaluate these comparisons.
  5. 5.forms the relationship between these gains and his/her thesis subject.
