Course objectiveThe principal objective of this course is to teach the theoretical basics of borrowing, the analysis of the economic dynamics of borrowing and debt management strategies, and to discuss the public debt policies in Turkey and around the world. 
Learning outcomes
  1. At the end of this course students will be able to analyze not only the economic theory of government debt but also the debt policies in Turkey and around the world. Moreover, students will find the opportunity of understanding systematically the effects of borrowing on the government budget and on the economy in detail, as borrowing constitutes one of the most important aspects of the public finance.
