Course objectiveTo explain the concept of educational supervision, its? principles and processes. To follow contemporary theories, approaches, developments and innovations in the field. To compare and contrast some major practices of educational supervision in Turkey and in some other countries.

  1. Comprehend supervision concepts, categories and principles.
  2. Analyse historical process in educational supervision
  3. Know supervisor?s roles and competences
  4. Comprehend importance of human relations in educational supervision
  5. Know process of supervision planning
  6. Know process of investigation.
  7. Comrehend purpose, method and importance of process in institution and course supervision
  8. Compare with some applications with respect to supervision practices in some other countries
Course ContentSupervision concept and content; supervision types; historical process; supervision planning, practice and evaluation; contemporary supervision theories and practices; supervisor competencies; some practices in Turkey and in some other countries and investigation.
