Course objectiveTo teach the meaning of the pharmaceuticals within the country?s health policy, follow up the legislations/regulations, and bring up the developments into the agenda in this context. 
Learning outcomes
  1. Students will be taught about pharmaceutical policies in various countries and they will be able to evaluate their own country?s situation in this context.
  2. It is expected from the students to be able to understand and evaluate how pharmaceutical policies are formed and factors affecting these policies.
Course ContentDrug expenditures, studying and evaluating pharmaceutical policy, pharmaceutical policies: effects of reference pricing, other pricing, and purchasing policies, pharmaceuticals in different countries: developments in regulation and governance, pricing of pharmaceuticals, evaluating pharmaceuticals for health policy in low and middle income country settings.
